What is included in this trip to the Holy Land?

Included in your cost is all ground transportation, 4-star upscale hotels, 3 delicious meals per day, exciting excursions, knowledgeable Bible teachers, Christian-Jewish Israeli tour guides, and all taxes & gratuities. Flights are not included in the cost of this tour.

When should I book my flight to arrive/depart?

Since this tour has specific arrival and departure guidelines, we kindly ask that all flights be booked through Jackson Travel only to ensure a smooth travel experience. Please note that flight costs are not included in the package price. If you plan to extend your stay in Israel, you will be responsible for arranging your own transportation to the airport for your departure.

How can I register more than three people in my family/group?

Accepted Answer

To register more than three guests, you will need to complete more than one reservation, as each reservation only includes one hotel room. Please get in touch with PREMIER directly for more information about booking multiple reservations as a family/group.

Question 5

Is there a minimum (or maximum) age to participate?

Accepted Answer

No, but we recommend this trip for those no younger than middle school and for those who can easily handle walking approximately 2-3 miles a day, some of which is on unpaved paths and up and down centuries old streets in the Old City of Jerusalem. (Please note that children younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.)

What medical preparations do I need to take?

We encourage you to inform your health insurance provider that you will be traveling out of the country and to determine your coverage and medical care options while in Israel. There are no specific immunizations or medications that are recommended or required for travel to Israel, but you are welcome to connect with your primary care physician regarding their recommendations for you individually. Please keep in mind that you can buy the equivalent of most standard over-the-counter medicines in Israel.

Am I required to purchase Travel Insurance?

Travel insurance is not required but is strongly recommended.

What documentation is necessary for travel to Israel?

Accepted Answer

A valid passport with an expiration date no less than 6 months after the return date of the trip is required. There are no exceptions to this policy.

The Israeli Population and Immigration Authority has announced that starting January 1, 2025, visitors will not be able to enter Israel without a permit (called an ETA-IL) or visa.
For those coming from most countries this is not a visa application process and is a quick and not complicated step to receive an ETA-IL.

Do I need to bring any special clothing or other items?

We will provide a list of recommended items and clothing to all trip participants before our tour. Please plan to bring comfortable shoes or sneakers, as there will be a lot of walking. For women, knees and shoulders must be covered at Holy sites.

How much walking do I need to be prepared for?

Accepted Answer

Most activities will include walking. We would recommend wearing comfortable shoes or sneakers each day. Most walks will be light to moderately strenuous, and there will be daily breaks as needed. Please keep in mind that walks can typically include steps and uneven terrain. Some sites could be difficult to fully experience if there are physical disabilities with walking long distances or problems with uneven terrain.

What kind of weather should I expect?

Average high temperatures in May range from the mid-70s to mid-80s, with little precipitation.

How safe is traveling to Israel?

Accepted Answer

While Israel is still in an ongoing war, your safety is a top priority. We use various measures to ensure the safety of participants, but we also encourage participants to take precautions they normally would when traveling to another city or country.

Can I drink tap water in Israel?

Accepted Answer

Tap water is safe to drink in Israel, but bottled water is also available for purchase. We encourage you to bring a reusable bottle for your trip.

Will there be access to WIFI?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you will have free Wi-Fi on the buses and in some hotels. Many cafes and restaurants also offer complimentary Wi-Fi. Some hotels will have Wi-Fi available for hotel guests at customary prices.

Will I be able to use my cell phone while in Israel?

Accepted Answer

Please check with your phone service provider to determine if you will need to purchase an International plan to use your phone in the country. WhatsApp is a widely used communication app while in Israel and can be downloaded prior to arrival.

Yes. Beginning a month before we leave, you'll be provided with a weekly scripture and prayer guide, packing recommendations and suggested reading material.

Which credit cards are accepted?

Accepted Answer

American dollars are accepted in many places in Israel; however, in most cases, change will not be available. We would recommend bringing $1 bills for small items. You can also use your credit/debit card to obtain Shekels at ATMs throughout Israel. Most Israeli hotels, restaurants, and stores accept American Express, MasterCard, and Visa cards as well.

Will I need to bring a power adapter?

Accepted Answer

Most hotel rooms are equipped with hairdryers, and all have shaver sockets. For other appliances, Israel’s electricity is 220V A/C, single phase 50-cycles; 110V-220V transformers can be used. Israeli outlets have three prongs, but European two-prong adapters usually work. We suggest bringing a converter and adapter for any of your devices.
