ITINERARY

Day 1: Thursday - June 3rd

  • Morning arrival at Ben Gurion Airport

  • Visit historic Caesarea Maritima, the Roman Capital of Judea, where Peter followed God's leading to visit Cornelius (Acts 10) and where he proclaimed the gospel to the Romans (Acts 24-26).

  • “So King Ahab sent all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto Mount Carmel. And Elijah came unto the people” (1 Kings 18:20, 21) Visit the Muchraka on Mount Carmel, where the Prophet Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal. A view over the valley of Jizreel.

  • Dinner and overnight in Tiberias

 

Day 2: Friday - June 4th

 

  • Look out from Mount Arbel, on the road from Nazareth to Capernaum. A sheer cliff rising majestically above the Sea of Galilee with a magnificent view of the Golan Heights and Mount Hermon.

  • Visit Magdala, an ancient village, where according to tradition Jesus‘ follower Mary Magdalene lived

  • “Then Jesus came from Galilee down to the Jordan to be baptized” (Matthew 3:13). Visit to the Jordan River the site where John the Baptist baptized Jesus

  • Board a wooden sailing boat, fashioned after the ancient fishing vessels, for a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee.

  • Dinner and overnight in Tiberias

 

Day 3: Saturday – June 5th

 

  • Visit to Banias, the site of ancient Caesarea Philippi on the feet of Mount Hermon, where Jesus demanded to know of his disciples who people were saying He was (Matthew 16:13).

  • A visit to Nazareth Village, a hands-on experiences that transport guests to life on a Jewish village in the Galilee two thousand years ago.

  • Visit Mount Precipice, the traditional site of the cliff from which an angry mob attempted to throw Jesus after His bold proclamation in the Nazareth synagogue.

  • Dinner and overnight in the Tiberias

 

Day 4: Sunday - June 6th

 

  • Visit the Mount of Beatitudes, the place where Jesus delivered the famous Sermon on the Mount.

  • Visit the Tabgha Church, known as the site of the Miracle of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes

  • Journey to Capernaum (John 6:24) to visit the first century synagogue where Jesus preached and healed the epileptic boy (Matt. 4:13-17, Mark 9:14-29).

  • “On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and Jesus and the mother of Jesus weree there” (John 2:1). Visit to Cana. Here, Jesus performed the miracle of the wine, when he went to a wedding of a couple and turned water into wine. Visit to the ancient center of Cana of Galilee and the Catholic Church, built on the site of the miracle.

  • Dinner and overnight in Tiberias

 

Day 5: Monday - June 7th

 

  • “Again, the devil took him (Jesus) to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” (Matthew 4:8) A visit to the base of Mount of Temptation and Tel El Sultan the ancient excavations of Jericho

  • Visit to Masada, situated on the top of a mountain overlooking the desert panorama to the west and the Dead Sea to the east. The thrilling story of the site reveals the courage of the Jewish defenders of Masada and their battle against the conquering Romans.

  • Swim and float in the Dead Sea, bathing yourself in the mineral rich water and mud

  • Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem

 

Day 6: Tuesday - June 8th

 

  • "And the glory of the Lord went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city" (Ezekiel 11:23). Drive to the tip of the Mount of Olives, known as the site from where Jesus ascended to heaven after His resurrection. Panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem from Mount of Olives and descend the “Palm Sunday Road” to the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed on the night of His betrayal

  • Visit the scenes of Jesus' prayer to His Father in the Garden of Gethsemane

  • “And Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now, there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep’s Gate a pool called Bethesda (…) a great number of sick, blind, lame, and paralyzed people were lying in these walkways.”(John 5:2-4). A visit to Bethesda, where Jesus healed a lame man. Visit to the St. Anna Church, a 12th century church built on the site of the Bethesda pool.

  • Walk the Via Dolorosa, the traditional way that Jesus went before He was crucified, passing by the Praetorium, ending in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, built on the site where the crucifixion of Jesus on Golgotha is marked.

  • Visit the Garden Tomb (Gordon’s Calvary). This ancient cemetery is a moving site in which to recall the crucifixion and burial of Jesus. Spend time in these peaceful garden surroundings in prayer, song and fellowship.

  • Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem

 

Day 7: Wednesday – June 9th

 

  • Old City Jerusalem, it was the place where both the First and the Second Temple stood. The place where Jesus as a young boy already was studying, following Luke 2:41-52. In these days it is the third holiest place in Islam. A visit to the Temple Mount.

  • Visit the Davidson Center with excavations of the Herodian Temple, as it stood prior to its destruction by Roman troops in the year 70 AD. See the Hulda Steps and Gates, which used to be the main entrance to the Holy Temple, through which Jesus entered the Temple.

  • Visit the Model of Jerusalem in the Israel Museum, which reconstructs the city as it was prior to its destruction by the Romans in 66 AD, and looked like at the time of Jesus and see the Shrine of the Book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls – which have been called the greatest manuscript find of all time

  • An introduction to modern Israel and the Jewish people in Yad Vashem, Israel’s main Holocaust remembrance and education center. Visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Center including the Avenue of the Righteous and the Children’s Memorial.

  • Overnight in Jerusalem

 

Day 8: Thursday – June 10th

 

  • Visit to Bethlehem – the city where King David and Jesus were born.  A visit to the Church of the Nativity, a combination of two ancient Byzantine churches and a crypt beneath—the Grotto of the Nativity where tradition states that Jesus of Nazareth was born.

  • Drive through the Elah Valley, also called the valley of the Terebinth, the place were David fought with Goliath

  • Jonah’s journey, Tabitha’s restoration to life, and Peter’s conversion of the gentiles all began in Jaffa. A visit to the Old Center of Jaffa with its harbor. Tour through Jaffa’s narrow alleyways and enjoy the view over the sea.

  • Farewell dinner in Jaffa

  • Transfer to the airport

We will have Group Flights available for booking in a few months. 

If you choose to book your own flights, it needs to depart on June 2, 2021, and arrive in Tel Aviv on June 3, 2021. There will be ground transportation from the airport to our tour; more specific information regarding flights will be sent to you after booking. Flights need to depart June 10, 2021, from Tel Aviv back to the USA.
